APRIL is dedicated to the
Most Holy Eucahrist
St. Paul tells us in his Letter to the Romans: "[God's] invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made" (Romans 1:20). The very existence of an intelligible world gives witness to an Intelligent Mind behind it. Yet, God was not content to leave traces of himself. In his Divine Son, he became a man. He walked with us, died for us, and rose from the dead. He left us his Church to proclaim His Word and Celebrate the Sacraments. These seven Sacraments are the primary means by which God communicates his life and grace to us. Of these, the Eucharist holds a unique and privileged place. It is "the source and summit" of our Christian Faith. The Eucharist contains God himself, the Risen Lord. This Eucharist is a Great and Mysterious Gift. The Eucharist is Emmanuel, "God with us." The Lord has made his dwelling place among us, and desires us to enter his presence. If anyone asks you, "Where is God?" you can point to the Eucharist and answer, "Right here!"
